Shutting down while installing drivers? You're looking for big trouble.False positives are to be corrected, not blamed.Can you give us more details of which Nvidia driver we're talking about? (links to download, VirusTotal links, etc.). Thanks.

Thanks.Nothing wrong with temporarily "shutting down Avast" to install drivers. But when its re-enabled it will detect it from. Until we have proof of this false positive such as Virustotal link or better yet the Avast log its just smoke. Are these "tweaked" drivers?

I usually do a manual scan of the driver executable, and assuming all is well, I disable the real time protection, install the driverand then re-enable.
