I have a Windows7 Home Peemium (includes service pack 1) 64-bit software disc. Will this do?

As always when I try to run any program that might be useful in normal mode, I get the attached error message.
The link you sent me to said that this install-repair can only be done in Windows. Now what?

Unfortunately I have been unable as of yet to find a foolproof way of resetting all the required variables. So a reinstall may be required. I am still searching and talking though

Not very good I am afraid, all the suggestions I have had are ones already tried
The only alternative left is a re-install sorry

That sucks. Do you have a handy link to help guide me through that?
Is tree any value backing any files up on USBs or will they be super corrupted?
Thanks for everything! Sucks we didn't beat it.

No it is just the windows variables bit that is corrupted so any data you save to USB will be OK
There is a tutorial here
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1649-clean-install-windows-7-a.html
for a clean install

Do I need to just clean install or should I select 'format' from the advanced options? Otherwise, it backs everything up to 'windows.old'. So format or just click next at that point?
Cheers.

The choice is yours as the oldwindows folder will contain data from within programme files
For a squeaky clean system I recommend format
