Threat detected

Hello everybody

When I try to launch my Wireless Configuration Utility ( Trendnet wireless PC card ), it gives me a message :

Avast File System Shield has blocked a threat

Object : C:\Program Files\TRENDnet\TEW-641PC_TEW-643PI\WlanCU.exe
Infection : Win32:Evo-gen [susp].
Action : Move to chest

The threat was detected and blocked when the file was created or modified.

Im using this file for long time, and it's the first time this message appeared.

Can you help me ?

send file to avast lab so that they can correct it


Win32:Evo-gen [Susp]  = suspicious


You can upload files and report issues to avast  here : http://www.avast.com/contact-form.php  (select subject according to Your case)

You can use mail
send to virus@avast.com in a password protected zip file
mail subject:  False Positive / undetected sample (select subject according to your case)
zip password:  infected

or you can send files from avast chest

i doubt you recive one, they will just fix it with a update...

When i reported a false positive some days ago i got a reply from them that it was fixed in the next update,
and they wanted me to confirm that it was fixed.
