So ive been looking around the forum for related topics and i keep coming to a page that has a list of steps necessary to remove rootkits via downloading certian programs. My question, is that one of the forums said to run a program and then post the log to the "logs" and im not sure what this means or where that is. Im new to this forum business so any help would be greatly appreciated.
My issue is that once i run the Avast! scan, it located multiple rootkits but i cannot remove them. If i try to delete it returnes with an
ERROR: Access denied (5)
When i try to move them to the virus chest it returns with an ERROR: The request is not supported (50)
Any ideas???!! Please help!
