avast! is blocking a dangerous website (URL:MAL)
« on: June 24, 2014, 07:16:09 PM »
Hi guys. At the beginning, I want to say that I'm a total newbie in situations like this.
Today I tried to download an app for my Android and when I did, some .exe opened and started installing some stuff. I turned it off as soon as avast! gave me a warning, but it seems that i already installed something. Every few minutes I get a warning from avast, that it has blocked a dangerous link/website URL:MAL, it seems like it's the same thing over and over:

hxxp://getmeegan.info/?e=svon&cht=2&dcu=1&cpatch=2&dcs=1&pf=1&publisher=1091&dd=4&country=PL&ind=1160132578159212668&exid=1403617932940735534&ssd=3124120536510117045&hid=1152395100852177054&osid=601&channel=0&sfx=1&jc=1&category_name=SaveOn2&install_date=20130624

but I'm not sure. I tried running adwcleaner and ccleaner, also used avast to scan my PC three times. Nothing helped.

What should I do?
I hope you will help me out with these annoying popups.

There seems to something wrong with the forum software as all OTL logs are being saved in Unicode

Could you save the log in ANSI please

I'm not sure if I did it the right way lol. I just opened the logs, and while "savings as" changed to ANSI.

Or am I supposed to get new logs?

OK I believe I know what it is, we will need at least two runs at it

 Download and Install Combofix

Download ComboFix from one of the following locations:
Link 1
Link 2

VERY IMPORTANT !!! Save ComboFix.exe to your Desktop

* IMPORTANT - Disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware applications, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may otherwise interfere with our tools. If you have difficulty properly disabling your protective programs, refer to this link here
  • Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts.
  • Accept the disclaimer and allow to update if it asks

  • When finished, it shall produce a log for you.
  • Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt in your next reply.[/b]
Notes:
1. Do not mouse-click Combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.
2. Do not "re-run" Combofix. If you have a problem, reply back for further instructions.

3.  If after the reboot you get errors about programmes being marked for deletion then reboot, that will cure it.

Please make sure you include the combo fix log in your next reply as well as describe how your computer is running now

It seems slower now, I guess. My computer needs more time to open applications, chrome, league of legends or spotify etc etc. I also had a black screen for ~5 seconds after logging in to my windows profile.

Hmm, but when I'm opening league of legends or chrome now, after minute or two, it seems like everything is fine. I'm confused.

The delay was as combofix was finishing up..  Could you confirm that the alerts have now ceased

So far I didn't get any warnings. If something will pop up, I'll write back asap.
