Out of curiosity Bob  does it monitor this key ?

ShellIconOverlayIdentifiers:
I don't know Martin but, I've requested information directly from the horses mouth
and will let you know as soon as I know.<$1alt="" title="" onresizestart="return false;" id="smiley__$2" style="padding: 0 3px 0 3px;" />

WinPatrol will monitor or lock any registry location as long as it is the paid version.

How to do it: http://www.winpatrol.com/regoptions.html
Here's a portion of an email reply I received from Bret Lowry, (Ruiware LLC) the current force behind WinPatrol:

Here is a page I think you’ll be interested in:http://www.winpatrol.com/morewhyplus.html#plus3
, it explains some of the registry keys we monitory.
We monitor HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\Auto Update\AUOptionsWe monitor the various start-up keys under HKCU and HKLM and a few more that if changed we’ll tell you about. We have to keep our trade secrets.

OK lets remove combofix now then.. I will also see if this is a known bug with cryptoprevent

Click  Start  then Run.
On Windows7 or Vista  you may use  Start Search  field if  Run  is not available.
In the box copy/paste the following command:

ComboFix  /Uninstall

Note that there is a space between "  ComboFix  " and "  /Uninstall  " .

Then click  OK  (or press  Enter ).
Wait for the uninstall process to complete.

No problem, you are the second one that I have come across with this problem.  I have not yet found a solution but, both logs are malware free.  I will keep searching
