Corrupted/low-res safezone icon in Win8.1 (but not Vista or 7)

I am having a weird issue with avast! on my Win8.1 machine (but not on 7 or Vista machines).

The Safe Zone icon is coming out low-resolution/corrupted-ish. Also, for some reason, avast! was using this icon as its taskbar icon... I uninstalled a couple times now it seems to show the proper task bar icon, but the Safe Zone icon is still corrupted. Does anyone know what is going on here

What exact version of avast?

The latest version 2015.10.0.2208.

I completely uninstalled and reinstalled avast! a couple times today. For whatever reason before today, it was showing the safe zone icon instead of the avast! a icon. Now all is well in the task bar icon category, but the desktop icon is always low-res

Did you use the removal tool when removing avast?
If not, give it a try.

Also use the search option on this webboard.
I recall seeing this problem before.
Don't know if they found a solution or not.

-I used control panel to uninstall
-Restarted
-Opened the uninstall utility which restarted into safezone, ran and restarted into regular mode
-Reinstalled, saw the problem
-Tried to repair and restart, no luck
-I used control panel to re-uninstall
-Restarted
-Opened the uninstall utility which restarted into safezone, ran and restarted into regular mode
-Rereinstalled, saw the problem
-Tried to repair and restart, no luck
-Dealt with it

My WinVista and Win7 computers did not have either of the safezone icon problems.
I did a search. I saw other safezone problems, but not this one.
