VLC false positive?
« on: November 27, 2014, 07:54:15 PM »
Today I did a complete scan with Avast and it said that uninstall.exe in the VLC folder was a Win32:Malware-gen.
Then I did a boot scan and it found A0050015.exe in System Volume Information as a Win32:Malware-gen.

The second file should be related to the first one because they were last modified on the same day, february 17th. And I did many scans since this date but only now they were detected so I think it should be a false positive.

Can you tell if I'm right? Should I upload the files here? Both files are in the quarantine chest.
