Setting up eMule with Ashcmd... (ahhhh, getting frustrated)
« on: October 15, 2005, 12:40:33 PM »
Hello everyone!

Well, i just installed recently your AV and i'm quite thankful because i was sick of Norton's malfunctions, i'm trully satisfied now!

I'm right now configuring eMule, most preciselly, the Security tab. I need to set my AshCmd and it's respective parameteres to work well with every download completed.

I know that this is totally newb and i should be ashamed of asking something like this but right now, i'm just desperate and what can i say, i'm a "config_freak"!  ;D

Thanks in advance, i'll be waiting for a reply... :)

See you!

Hello to the forum :)

I am not quite sure for what are you asking for, but if I am not wrong, you can use avast!'s  P2P Shield to full protect your eMule program.

Yes, P2P Shield does that on the fly without any interaction required by the user.

I don't find any option to add this scanner information on the Security tab...  ::)
But, if you have it, use C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashQuick.exe
without parameters.

Better, like said before is:
1. Enable the P2P protection of avast! specifically for eMule.
2. Use eMule as a non-Administrator account (see Security tab)
