I upgraded win 8.1 to win 10 yesterday, keeping all my applications. I found out that that was applying too to my friend IE. Isn't it redundant with Microsoft Edge? Can I uninstall it safely?

Microsoft Edge is not a browser:it is a metro app in Windows 10. Internet Explorer should still be very linked to Windows 10 in this OS so I won't risk any instability.
