IS AVAST.com offline?

I can't get my avast to update, it has been removed from my Task Bar and when I went to the website it nolonger works?

Where has avast gone?  www.avast.com

Working here for manual update check, if avast.com were down you wouldn't be able to be at the forum.avast.com.

I get an error page but any other website I try works...

Check your hosts file - maybe some malware put in incorrect record for www.avast.com there? Or, there may be some problem with your DNS server...

Do you use a firewall? Which one?
Is avast.setup allowed to connect?
