In fact another security program that I installed because wasn't sure it was even working marked it as a malware.
Anyways upgraded, downloaded the premier from the Avast website - worked for about a week. Then it became utterly completely unresponsive.
Right clicking - useless, don't even pull up
Uninstall via programs - still stuck on my machine
Contacted "customer service" - beyond useless assistance as the chap didn't comprehend I hadn't been able to uninstall it for he kept redirecting to the manual removal of lingering system files
Removed it via the other - better - security system and it keeps giving me a self-protection error. Which Avast has but as I can't open it, I can't turn off the self protection.
So anyone have any idea how to handle what I am guessing was an actual corrupted file even malware seeing as the Avast website during the time of download was slower than watching paint dry in the middle of the rainy season.
