Dear Forum,

I am interested in trying to understand the degree of security that password offers.

At present I use software that stores my passwords offline. If I am using hotmail I open this software enter a main password I remember and can then access all my passwords including the hotmail password. I have no idea how safe this software is ....

Avast Password appears to offer something similar. Instead of opening the software I open the extension. I suspect Avast password might have additional advantages because of interactivity with the browser, I will have to learn about that.

I am an old guy so for me the computer is safer than the cloud. Is this stupid old guy thinking?

Should I feel comfortable about the security offered by avast password?

All the Best

BillZ
