Can you do this with avast pro?
« on: February 06, 2006, 10:09:13 AM »
Hi,

I went out for a couple of hours and I left avast to scan but when I got home it said "Virus Found!" and I clicked what they recommended me to do which was "move to vault" or something and then I realised that it only scanned 10k+ things!
Because of the alert from scanning it didn't continue scanning.
What I'm trying to say it that when a "Virus Found!" alert box comes up it doesn't auto remove it just stops the scanning until you press a button on your alert box.

How can I make it auto remove or auto what it recommends me to do?
Sorry if that didn't make sense I don't know how to say it.

Thanks,

Henry

Of course you can. For both, Standard Shield and On-Demand scan.
You just have to predefine actions like:
Repair IF FAILS Delete

or

Repair IF FAILS Move to Chest

You can set this in Enhanced Interface.
This way avast! will automatically try to clean (desinfect) and if fails it will delete or try to move to chest. Home Edition has only Silent mode that Automatically moves infected files to Chest.
But you'll have to wait for some Pro user to give you exact possibly image backed up help.
