Key board hooks

From my search of the forum it seems that this is OK, but I'd rather know for sure.

In Microsoft  System Information/System Information/Software Environment/Drivers/System Hooks

I see

Keyboard
Aswidle.dll   ASHSERV.EXE   C:\PROGRAM FILES\ALWIL SOFTWARE\AVAST4\Aswidle.dll
C:\PROGRAM FILES\ALWIL SOFTWARE\AVAST4\ASHSERV.EXE

CBT
Avcommex.dll   ASHSERV.EXE   C:\PROGRAM FILES\ALWIL SOFTWARE\AVAST4\Avcommex.dll
C:\PROGRAM FILES\ALWIL SOFTWARE\AVAST4\ASHSERV.EXE

Mouse
Aswidle.dll   ASHSERV.EXE   C:\PROGRAM FILES\ALWIL SOFTWARE\AVAST4\Aswidle.dll
C:\PROGRAM FILES\ALWIL SOFTWARE\AVAST4\ASHSERV.EXE

Is this a normal part of Avast or is it a key logger of some kind?

Thanx

CharleyO

A forum search for Aswidle.dll, which is listed under Keyboard & Mouse, produced this:

http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=682.msg3432#msg3432

Be sure to read that post and the one after it to fully understand.

If I am not mistaken, Avcommex.dll is used for communication possibly when scanning. But, I could be wrong and I hope someone will correct me if I am wrong.    :)

Thanx CharleyO. You entered better search terms than I thought of. So far it looks like everything is OK, but hopefully someone will have something on the rest of these files.
