Emsisoft found Trojan in Avast folder
« on: February 17, 2017, 10:25:39 AM »
I did a full scan with Emsisoft Emergency Kit and it found Gen:Trojan.Heur.TP.bmW@bCZc7ih (B) in
E:\...\Avast Software\Avast\defs\17021601\gvma64.dat -> (Embedded EXE 2g)

It shows that the risk is high.
What should i do?

This is what you call a program conflict, it happens when using two security programs and Emsisoft is detecting on avast signatures

There can only be one, so one must go

Short answer nothing.

Slightly longer answer, either exclude avast locations from Emsisoft or don't use it ;)

If you check the detection location you will see it is the avast defs (virus definitions sub folders) so what would you expect to find there.

The detection given by Emsisoft is a Heuristic one more liable to false positive.
