hi,

i cant find anything which says if avast free protects against worms? or if it can detect and get rid of worms if you have one? how can you realise when you have a worm and does MBAM find them?

Yes otherwise that article would be pointless if it didn't protect against worms.

Worms are very old and like true viruses are relatively rare these days, it is more malware than viruses and worms.

A search for computer worms reveals much information, this is just one https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_worm.

There is only one database containing ALL signatures.

The fact that it has run is course doesn't mean it should be deleted, just that it has run its course. Moving to the V&W forum, not sure when there is already one there.
