Hi everybody, that is a last desparate try before deleting (and forgetting) AVAST for good and buy from another company. This is our third year with Internet Security, we had no problems until an update at about the end of the second year came. That blocked our Internet Access altogether, and we couldn't open almost any program on our computer, not even AVAST itself. We realized we have to turn off Behaviour Shield and everything is OK. We had several mails with the customer service who suggested several things, but nothing helped and we stopped writing them back at one point because we had had enough. We just let Behaviour Shield constanty turned off.
Now this week there was a new update, and I tried tu turn Behaviour Shield on; and we had Internet access again! But after that we had to realize that we still cannot open anything:
not AVAST Internet Security (just a big white square; but this one we we can still reach by rightclicking the icon on the tray)
not Microsoft Word
not Microsoft Outlook
not Irfan View
etc.
and NVIDIA always tells us about some problems
We tried to repair AVAST, we tried the clean install as described here, nothing helps. Now we have to turn off Behaviour Shield AND Ransomware Shield. And what's the point in having a paid virus protection like that?
Could anybody help us, has anybody had similar issues?
We use Windows 7.
