um, I keep scanning my computer and thsi trojan keeps popping up. I keep telling it to delete it but it alerts me about it like every few hours. How do I get rid of this? (can you tell me in like stupid language, since im not all that great with comps) thx people

where exactly was the trojan found (full path and filename; see avast'S report after a scan)

I have Windows XP and I believe it was foudn in the folder, C:\System Volume Information, its a hidden folder, so i gather thats bad?

pretty harmless, if it's not found anywhere else..

just disable RESTORE, reboot, and reenable it..:

and it's gone

In windows ME when you disable system restore are the files deleted like in XP?

yes,
the entries are deleted after reboot

after cleaning the pc, make a windowsupdate (early versions of SysRestore in ME contained a bug) and reenable SysRestore..
