Apple plugs QuickTime zero-day flaw

Apple on Tuesday released a QuickTime update to fix a security flaw that was used to breach a MacBook Pro at a recent security conference.

Hey Mac, That's really not a bad response time.  At least you mac users don't have to wait a month!! ( Or in some cases MUCH longer)  ::)

i did a compkete os restore and drivers on my laptop recently and haven't installed quicktime and the apple update thing yet....is it safe to do so now or what ???

Yes its safe now. Quicktime 7.1.6 fixes the security problems
