Hi,

I've upgraded to office 2003 sp3 running avast net client deployed to this computer. Since upgrading, when the user start outlook the avast agent show 7x...8x.. and 9x or more and browsing into the outlook is slower than never.

why?

What exactly do you mean by "avast agent show 7x..." - can you describe it more in detail, please?
If you temporarily pause the Outlook avast! provider - does it help?

You can try to buy nd install MicrosoftR Office 2007 System for better use. ;)

Hi,

When I open my mail client software(office 2003 sp3), near system tiem clock, there is appears a blue icon which show the ip of my mail server and 2x (normally 2x) but after upgrade to sp3 now, shows  up to 9x..


Why?

Difficult to say without a log. You can add the following line to the [MailScanner] section of <avast>\data\avast4.ini:
Log=20
Then generate some traffic, simulate the problem (i.e. force the avast mail scanner to time out by sending an email with attachment) and then post here the contents of the file <avast>\data\log\aswMaiSv.log

Seems like the avast Outlook plugin somehow got disabled and so the "Internet Mail" provider is picking the traffic instead.
Please check Outlook -> About -> Disable Items. If avast is on the list, remove it and restart Outlook.
