When VPN connects mapped drive disconnects

I have a mapped drive to a folder on a server on my local network.  Whenever I turn on my Avast VPN the mapped drive disconnects and will not connect until I turn off VPN.  Please advise how to keep the mapped drive connected when enabling the Avast VPN

We plan on releasing a feature in Avast One that will address this issue (most likely by July).
