Avast One Essentials installation reports setup failure : "There was an error while completing the setup process". I've installed Avast One weeks ago without problem and it worked fine for about 2 weeks. Then, problems with definition updates and checks for program updates would just spin indefinitely . Thinking that the problem might be Windows 10, I tried an earlier backup image restore - all to no avail. I then uninstalled the restored image version Avast One with Avastclear and tried the install process again with the same setup failure. So, I'm now using an offline install of an older version of Avast without problems. I've looked at earlier posts that reported the setup problem to no avail, and digital signature info looks ok. - any ideas on how to fix this problem ?
