All of a sudden a few days ago, Avast started checking my home network (Ethernet), to which the desktop it protects has been connected for years.

I can't figure how to make Avast understand it is a Trusted Network.

Check your Firewall Rules see attached images.

It's probably set to 'Public' on your Windows profile.

check in firewall > networks> show settings on right> click i trust this network
