Since I BOUGHT your stuff [technical term] some months' ago, "Iolo" continually pops up with "System Mechanic".

IS this something to do with AVAST or can I uninstall it - nobody answers this question, ANYWHERE: BTW!

What Avast product do you have  ?
You don't say what this stuff is.  As far as I'm aware "Iolo" and "System Mechanic" has nothing to do with Avast

I have Avast Antivirus Free for getting on for 20 years and it has been free.

Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.6.6121 (build 24.6.9241.848) UI 1.0.809/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security
