exclusions in Hub policies corrupt!?
« on: June 10, 2024, 04:19:07 PM »
For the majority of our customers we use global policies since many of the customers use same applications.

We started with the Avast Hub migration for our clients in may 2021 and created 2 server policies and 2 client policies. Those policies had quite a bunch of exclusion which I cannot find anymore in all of them.
A few month ago I stumbled over the exclusion list that where looking strange but i missed it to get into the details.

When I check the hub policies now I see exclusions look like this:

`*\\folder_or_path_name\\*`

From the Avast GUI i see stuff like this:

`*\\filename.exe`

`*\\folder_or_path_name\\*`""

As per https://businesshelp.avast.com/Content/Products/General_Help/Additional/Wildcards.htm those ' and " are not official documented characters used for wildcards...  :o

One server policy is missing almost all exclusions that we created but I have no prove that those where removed from Avast...

Can anyone confirm anything of this?
