Chrome start-up problem since last update
« on: July 06, 2024, 06:20:46 AM »
Version: 24.6.6121 (Build 24.6.9241.851), Premium Security

Hello,

since update to actual version my chrome-browser reports on every start an error message:
"chrome was not finished correctly. Recover your websites ?"

Same chrome-versions on computer running other virus-software brings no problem.

I deactivated avast - same results.

Maybe it will help to deactivate avast's feature to block access to several folders/files ?
Problem is: how to configure avast to do this ?

(help forum of chrome gives exactly this advice to deactivate this feature of virus-software).

thanks for any idea

Hello Rainer123,

we had a bug preventing Chrome from saving settings in certain conditions. It is fixed in VPS 240709-00 which was released a couple of minutes ago. You may need to restart your computer after the update.

Best regards,
Jiri
