system restore virus? should i remove or not

 How was it detected: using avast quick scan
 What is the exact file name with extension:D:\System Volume Information\_restore{EE8CEBCF-23E2-49BF-949C-A5822E4A8167}\RP89\A0016685.exe

malware name:win32:trojan-gen {vc}

so any ideas? and how i can find it..it says its in d:system volume info but all it says is stuff like WINDOWS,system32 ect
i understand that its a system restore file...and heck i still have half of the scan to go yet!
 
and i aint done one windows update since i installed windows because its not genuine i tryed one on the non geniune windows i got with the pc
which had loads of random stuff on it and it cancled it halfway through the installsion so when i restarted a bluescreen came on
and thats why im not going to do windows update

k ive found the file its an installer even opening that folder it was located in popped up an alert....i dont know what it is but system restore has obviously saved an installer to a trojan/virus

the infection was found in the restore point storage... you can clear your restore points and then let windows to regenerate them..

hmm how do i go about that? just right click it and delete it?  or is there a certain tool windows has to do that for me so i dont mess up
my system restore
or let avast do it?......just i want to delete ALL my past system restore so if i go back it doesn't come back

If it was found in a restore point, you can disable system restore, which clears all of the checkpoints (where it was found) and just re-enable? (I wouldn't try it unless someone else says so)

i cleared the old system restores and the point with the virus in was the oldest point that it didnt delete

so can i just highlight them all and click delete? and move them to recycle bin then delete
but wont they go to that "unknown folder" where all the stuff deleted out of the recycle bin goes what tuneup utilities can recover

you can remove all restore points by disabling system restore... when you re-enable it a new clean restore point should be created...
