Turn off Avast News?

Any way of turning off the Avast News that we now get alerts for via the systray icon and scrolling on the scanner splash screen?

They aren't that frequent as to anoy me, I have only had two in the last few years

Well that is down to it not being used fro the last few years.

Though I don't see anything in the program settings that deals with this option.
