I have purchased Avast Professional and Server that are kept up-to-date and have still been infected with viruses.
I had to use Ad-Adware SE Personal with 2009-03-23 definitions (from a boot cd), and Windows Defender 2009-03-22 definitions to remove the following viruses that Avast skipped (even with several boot time scans):
* Win32.Hacktook.Keyfinder
* Win32.Adware.Onflow
* Win32.Trojan.Packed
* Win32.Trojan.Agent
* Win32.Trojan.Zheletin
* Win32.Trojan.Downloader.Zlob
* Win32.Trojan.Oliga
* Win32.Trojan.Vundo.gen!AJ
* Win32.Trojan.Vundo.gen!G
* CPMcfab59ox - sosazeri.dll
* CC986a93 - bufezeza.dll
* LSA Shellu - nilimuvo.dll
* horijavu.dll
* pisuvedi.dll
* elwqml.dll
* pogepehe.dll
* wanebape.dll
* tapeyeni.dll
* CPMcfab590
* nuyasipana
I had to manually delete some of these dlls but they keep coming back. I am using StartupMonitor now to tell me when these items are registered but its popuping up all the time.
I got these viruses from a USB flash drive that was used in another computer that also had Avast installed and was up-to-date.
Avast should be doing its job and protecting my systems from viruses!
When will this be fixed?
