When I tried to send mail to ALWIL from user files category, I have been told on next update it will be send,

so I manually fired IVAS update but it tried to upload the file but failed, might be my SMTP settings may be wrong,......

I would like to know whether Avast has some web interface for this like below,

https://submit.symantec.com/websubmit/retail.cgi

it will help out to keep good collection of VRDB.

thanks,

How did it fail, what errors were displayed ?

The file is uploaded and not emailed so SMTP doesn't come into it.

Send it from the User Files section of the chest (select the file, right click, email to Alwil Software). It will be uploaded (not actually emailed) to avast when the next avast auto (or manual) update is done.

After the normal update completes (if that failed then there may be a knock on effect), then the samples are uploaded, see image.
