HTML:Script-Inf in a F.1 forum
« on: December 27, 2009, 05:22:52 PM »
Hi, everybody!!!
I've a problem with the website: hxxp://www.phpbbplanet.com/forum/index.php?mforum=aerogi  :(
The message I received from Avast is:
Sign of "HTML:Script-inf" has been found in "hxxp://www.phpbbplanet.con/forum/posting.php?mforum=aerogi\{gzip}" file.
It seems to appear only just after I posted a message in the forum, when I navigate it doesn't appear.   ???
Is it a FP?

Thanks a lot for the help!!!

Unfortunately I can't check this out as if as you say this happens on the Post function and I presume you have to be a registered member to post, and even if registered, posting just for postings sake would leave a rubbish post.

avast has in the past been very accurate in these detections:
I don't know what version of phpBB software the forum uses, but these script injections are commonly associated with out of date content management software.

Hi, DavidR, and thanks a lot for answer!!!  :)
Yes, I'm registered. Do you think it's a problem of the website or it could be a problem in my pc?
If it' a problem in the website, what can I do to avoid to have these warnings from Avast? Have I to resign myself to have a warning every time I post?  :(

Now, I posted and the warning is not appeared.

Do you have the latest update 27.12.2009 - 91227-1 ?
there was a false positive in 27.12.2009 - 91227-0

Oh! Hey, how can I download the manual update for 27.12.2009 - 91227-1 ?
I downloaded it from their website and it was 27.12.2009 - 91227-0 for me now.
The auto update doesn't seem to work.

Hi, Pondus!!! Yes, now it's updated. I tried to post now and I didn't receive warnings from Avast. Could be a solved problem?

I don't believe it a problem on your PC or it would be more wide spread than this specific site and action. Presumable you get an avast alert like this one, see image, which blocks anything coming down to your system.

Hopefully the VPS Update has corrected this as Pondus mentioned.

Try a repair of avast. Add Remove programs, select 'avast! Anti-Virus,' click the Change/Remove button and scroll down to Repair, click next and follow. This has in the past resolved this out of sync issue between reported and actual VPS version.

Then check for updates VPS Version: 091227-1 is the latest.
