ok i have this virus Wn32:Esepor-B [Trj]

located here:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\tksrv98.exe\[UPX]

I,m running windows xp (pro) sp1

i have installed updated and run the latest version of spybot. with no effect.

I have run avast (home edition) on boot up and managed to remove it re-ran the virsus scannar without detecting it aswell ,but then it seems to reinstal its self later on.

i followed the links from the search of esepor suggested above but could make any sense of it other than re-confirming what i already know (norton doesN,t detect it, the original source of the problem).

does anyone know if this is a bad bad virus (trojan actually) or just simple spyware? and how can i get rid of it.?

yep great help i think I,m running through the suggestions now!

initial scan turned up negative

running second scan now and will then enable system restore.

will be back to let you all know thanks again

after a bit of giggery- pokery and a lot of system testing its all seems fine
