How to modify your own profile?

When I click "Profile" at the top of the page, I get taken to my profile, but I cannot enter thing slike my age or location or anything else because there is no link on the left to do that.  I only have three links:

"Summary"
"Show Stats"
"Show Posts"

I run a forum of my own using SMF software, and there should be a link that will open personal info pages.  Can someone please let me know where it is?

You need to have 20 posts, no longer a newbie grade to access all areas of your profile information - The problem comes from drive by spammers, who having registered put objectionable or commercial links in their profile signature to try and gain link promotion, etc.

There have also been cases of the PM function being abused to spam forum members, so you will notice that you can't use the PM function either.

Unfortunately because of the actions of others legitimate members suffer by the actions to prevent this spamming.

Okay.  That sounds reasonable.  I went over to my forum and scanned through the pages of administration stuff and found a couple of settings that I could activate that would produce what your describing.  We occasionally have 'drive-by' spamming also so this might be useful.  Thanks.

I pain when it hits legit users, though it isn't infallible as we still get spammers, but they generally don't last very long at all before they are banned and account deleted with the report to moderator link in posts.

Thanks.  I appreciate the explanation.  I think I will implement this in my forum.  I might add an explanation though that is a little less obscure; possibly a note right on the Profile page to that effect.
