Custom startup scan
« on: July 13, 2010, 02:53:57 AM »
How can I set the scan settings on startup?
On the old 4.8 avast could set all settings, including "Move to Trash" when it detects a virus or a suspicious file, but here I am just select the disk :(

How can I do?

The boot time scanning has its automated actions removed due to a security reason.
You can delete necessary files to boot/logon. Take care about removing them.
Also, direct remove (delete) is always dangerous than sending it to quarantine (Chest).

I tried last night to put it, has found a virus and was the screen that made me select whether to put in the trash or other options, I was fully automated, meaning any suspicious file is trashed

How can I do?

I'm not following you.
Maybe you could rephrase or, if it is simpler, just use the Italian board in the International forum

mmh...
I read that you have removed as a matter of safety, but if I still wanted to send the quarantined file?

I too liked the automated actions.
One could always repair the OS once the malware is all removed... but it would have been good to keep the options available (for those who are aware of the SAFETY issues).
But if Avast choose to do this with their free version, so be it - I have to sit and wait until a infection is found...(or choose action early next morning).

Probably, automated actions will come back on version 5.1. Not officially recognized yet.
