Your system must be a slightly later version than the one I checked out - so there is no need for F10

Follow the destructions under Recovering from Windows XP

And you should be good to reformat if you wish
Okay went to Start/All Programs/PC HELP & TOOLS/Compaq System Recovery and it asks me do I want to start System Recovery. When I click Yes the computer restarts and then just boots up to normal windows again so basically nothing happens it just makes my computer restart.

Yes - according to my reading you should be able to create them as it uses the files on the D drive to create the discs

I feel your MBR has been tampered with and is stopping F10 from being used, if I tried to repair it, it would remain useless.  So if you do a recovery then go for the destructive one

Okay no problem, will do. For anyone else that ends up with this virus then its ComboFix that gets rid of it. Everything else I tried( Including Destructive restore) didn't work.
