In aavat Scxam - Decompression boimb - Mozilla - PartNo_#0 etc
« on: October 24, 2010, 01:22:26 AM »
Hi,

Just done a scan and found these pronlems.

I know what a decompression bomb is but not sure about some of the files this name is given to.

For example thre is one in Doc and Sets/Mozilla/Mail/ PartNo_#0 with numbers here. There are about 4 of them.

Would they be TB version unpacked maybe?

There are other files as well mostly seem to be associated in /Local Settings/Temp/ inbox, mail etc.

I cannot scan any of them and they are all labeled 'bombs'.

I do not have ano probs with the XP box and no Malware in Malwarebytes shows up nor anything else with avast.

It was that I just got redirected to a 'Security Analysis' BS site which asked me to download a file. I didn't do it and got out of FF then reloaded it without that url.  It was then that I did the scans..

Just TCB..

Thanks

oz
