key scramblers
« on: January 20, 2011, 06:10:50 AM »
Well I looked on here and did not see anything about key scrambler's.I would like to know if there is any technology built into Avast to block keyloggers or scramble key strokes. If there isn't I think a great addition would be a keyscrambler box for logging your accounts. I use Chrome as my Browser and Avast Internet security.

Sure Avast! blocks keyloggers.  Turning on scanning for PUP where applicable in various Avast! settings will help with this also.

(then light some incense and pray it gets seen in the mess)

If you are looking for a good keyscrambler, I could suggest you to try KeyScrambler by QFX Software. The program exists in three editions: Personal, Professional and Premium. You can compare them here: http://www.qfxsoftware.com/ks-windows/which-keyscrambler.htm
May the FOSS be with you!

Good news! Check out this post by Tech. In version 6.0 Avast will have a safe zone which will hopefully make the need for a key scrambler unnecessary. Please read details here. http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=69940.0

Sounds great but I just got Key Scrambler. But I'm looking forward to version 6.
