Trojan horse alert - then BSOD and no boot
« on: March 21, 2011, 11:53:30 AM »
I was surfing a site and got a Trojan horse warning.  After backing out quickly, I received another and a few seconds later, a BSOD, then my PC shut down by itself and now will not reboot - so screen - just a frozen cursor.

I know the answer is format and re-install - any ideas on what may have happened so I can prevent/watch for this in the future?  Any one else ever get this severe a worm thru Avast?
