avast found win32:trojano-495 in my win32exe file. it says it can't repair it and i need to find out if it's safe to delete it. right now it's in the virus chest. also any info on what kind of trojan this is would be helpful. could this be erased with an ad remover tool?(i don't have one on my computer just a pop up stopper).thank you very much for any info you can provide!

If you mean win32.exe than it definatly is a trojan. Remove it. Run a boottime scan and let Avast handle it.
