System unsecured and can't "fix it"!?!?!?!

Hi guys, new guy here with a problem.  We had to do a system restore to an earlier date tonight since out youngest child decided to download a bunch of crap on my computer.  After we restored the computer (to about week ago), our paid version (top of the line version) says our system is unsecure.  I tried clicking on the "Fix it" tab and also "start program" tab, but it doesn't do anything.  I don't know where in the hell the activation code, etc. is or I would uninstall it and re-install it.  Any thoughts or ideas would be MUCH appreciated.

Try a repair through control panel, programs and features ( remove programs ), double click avast and scroll down to repair and click then ok, if that doesn't fix it you will have to do a reinstall unfortunately, your license key should have been saved in your email.

Sometimes doing a restart/reboot either once or twice could solve this kind of problem.
