Manual Database Update

If for some reason I have to uninstall Avast free, can I copy the updated defs folder & paste it when I reinstall Avast, to update it to that defs.

Do you really need to do that?
Hmmm... your avast installation will mess...
Update again is safer (and probably faster).

when you download the latest installer it will have almost all updates, the rest should update in no time
