Windows memory diagnostic
« on: December 23, 2011, 10:31:24 AM »
Hi! Today when I boot up my VAIO laptop it showed me this instead of booting into Windows 7:

Choose operating system:

Windows

<or>

Windows Memory Diagnostic

I pressed escape and it went normally into Windows. Why was I prompted into this? Is something wrong with my machine?

Well... Does it occur every time or just once?
Did you shutdown your computer properly?

Just that one time. I'm pretty sure that I've shut it down properly as I always do. Anyway, I run the test manually and it lounched into the standard test mode, found no errors and then booted normally into Windows 7. Should I make any more tests? Or maybe more extensive test? I have no BSODs so I find it weird that I even got prompted to that test in the first place... Thanx for help!
