JS:ScriptPE-inf [Trj]
« on: January 17, 2012, 05:52:22 PM »
Yesterday during a scan I was notified by Avast! that I had a virus.  I was asked if I would like to do a boot scan and I did (in subject line).  The virus was moved to the Chest.   I read a discussion you had with someone on the same subject and there you suggested that if that occurs to give you the place where the virus was (sorry, not a computer person so don't know the terminology).  I too am wondering how this virus got past Avast! and what further information I can provide for you.  Thank you.

maybe avast did not have the signature for it when you got it....no security program have 100% detection

JS:script usually comes from infected websites

Thanks for your response.  I see that there was a discussion with you by another party in September on the same subject.  I can provide you with where the virus ended up on my computer, if that helps.  Thanks.  D.
