Script shield in compatibility mode?

When I install avast! in compatibility mode I see only a script shield here. Is It because Script shield is compatible with other antiviruses? Or It's bug?

the SS works but only for IE. Therefore it might be valuable for some of the users of the Compatible mode.
-> not a bug ;)
