Script Shield & Google Chrome
« on: April 12, 2012, 02:16:38 AM »
Is there a problem with the Scrpit Shield and Google Chrome 18.0.1025.152 ? When I browse with Google Chrome Avast does not record any activity in the Script Shield, when I change to Firefox 11.0 it does.

Is there any one else experiencing the same?

Is it Google Chrome or Avast that is causing this?

it is google chrome, refer to igor's reply in post #10 here: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=96762.msg772158#msg772158

basically google chrome is releasing new versions too fast for security programmes to keep up with the changed stuff, such as Avast in this case.  :)

nope, updated to the same version as u, script shield still does not scan for google chrome (18.0.1025.162 m)

behaviour shield 'monitor system for unauthorized modifications' is checked

(by any chance did u launch firefox before google chrome? notice firefox generates exactly 3 scanned items in script shield  ;D)

I don't have FF on this computer so the answer is NO.  :)
