Outlook 2007 hangs after sending an email

Hi all,

Hope someone has a fix.  MS Outlook 2007 on Vista home premium SP2.

Started the trial version of Pro then when the time was up went back to the free version.  Since then Outlook hangs after sending an email.  Today the IT guy fixed this by deleting the add in, when he left he said I would need to reinstall avast, did this and now Outlook 2007 is hanging again after sending an email.

How do I fix this..........please!

Do you get any warning,when you send an email?

Hi and thanks for replying.  No warning, when I go back to Outlook after clicking on send I can't click to select anything, need to use Task Manager to end process and startup again.
