New avast! Cleaner deals with Sasser

I have avast home edition. Is that cleaner comes separate?

avast! Cleaner is separate free product which is able to remove the most widespread viruses and worms - without any installation. See the above link for description.

And yes - of course you are protected against sassers by the avast! itself (if your virus database is up to date)

Cojo,

I just put up a new topic re: Sasser.
Microsoft has a Check your computer link which is great to detect the presence of the worm,
then we can use the great Avast Cleaner to rid us of it!

Microsoft has a Check your computer link which is great to detect the presence of the worm,..

avast! is of course also able to detect all variants of this worm   . If you use avast! (or avast! Cleaner), there is no need to use Microsoft Check  .

Also - if you have the April patches installed, you are safe against these worms and this kind of attack in general.
