Avast Vs Other products...
« on: July 22, 2004, 03:24:27 PM »
If is possible I suggest to open a poll. Wher all the people can indicate the vote for avast home and if they want can indicate the "suggestion" for improve Avast! Home.
If is possible is a good idea to compare Avast verus the orher Antivirus product.
Bye.

Yes, we thought on that in the past...
But each feature will ask for a poll... There is a limitation on the webforms of polls. You can only vote for one thing. You will need to open a lot of polls.

The 'wishlist' has this purpose but it's flood right now (http://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=2;action=display;threadid=57).

I want only to suggest at alwill to make some comparison... internal test with other free products to see the differences between their products and other. This can be usefull.
Bye.

Of course, I agree...
The only problem, in my opinion, is the lack of technical web tools to do it  8)

Lack in technical web tool? What do you intend?

Try to build a poll of multiply posibilities of multiply features of avast in comparison with multiply other products....

You must have a table to vote, or just write, not vote, the advantages and disavantages of each product. Or, compare one feature in a lot of products... etc.

You said that this will be good. I only say that this is difficult to do. It's a good idea but how can you implement it?

Ok, now I have understood.  ;D Is a technical problem....
But we can open a section where all the people describe the Avast Experience.... with postive and negative judgments.
Is the only way to build a good software. This section will follow the section where the people ask new function to avast. Two section that I think are usefull to Alwill to understand the way to take for improving Avast.
Bye.

There are many many many posts and many different threads in which comparisons have been made  and, opinions expressed as to why we prefer Avast! to another AV program.
I don't think we need another thread on the same subject.
Why not use the search function to get your answer on this subject.

Actually, this forum is just that .. since you will find both negative and positive posts in this forum. Yeah, I know ... those are not all in one place. But, the people at Alwil visit this forum daily. So, to them, this forum is one giant poll!    ;)

Very few of us have problems with avast. Only thing I wish for improvement (well I wish this for ALL AV scanners) is faster scanning speed.
