Hi, I have loaded new copy of MYOB AccountRight Basics accounting software onto a new laptop with windows 7 and have been having issues openning the MYOB program and company files. Every time I turn on my computer and open the MYOB program I get a error 'An application operation has timed out. Would you like to retry the operation?'I click on retry and still doen't work. Contacted MYOB tech support and found that the MYOB server within Services>Administrative tools has to be started even though it is set to 'automatically'. They suggested that Avast AV software may be 64-bit because it is in program folder is located in C:\Program Files and MYOB AccountRight Basics is a 32-bit application and Perhaps Avast is ignoring the 32-bit Administrative Tools\Services application?
Can can anyone confirm if this is the cause of my issue and a possible solution?
Also, posted a ticket for support, how long should it take to get a reply?
